The Premier League continues over the weekend with a number of interesting fixtures which include Manchester City’s tie against Everton.
Man City, who have scored 17 goals in their first five games of the Premier league season, will take on Everton on Saturday in what looks to be an exciting fixture. Everton have won seven out their last eight games away to Man City, and beat them 2-1 twice last season.
After their mid-week Carling Cup fixture, Man City will be looking to play a number of their first team players, but the likes of Kolo Toure and Carlos Tevez could retain their positions. Everton only have one squad member unavailable in Victor Anichebe, but Louis Saha has not featured for the Toffees in the last few games.
Arsenal will be playing against Bolton and both teams are desperate for points as they dangle at the bottom of the league. Both teams managed to achieve mid-week wins over their Carling Cup opponents but Bolton may be more confident having beaten Premier League opposition in the form of Aston Villa.
Although Ivan Klasnic is serving a ban following his red card at Norwich, Stuart Holden will be hoping for a game for Bolton, after a solid performance mid-week. Arsenal will have Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Roskicy and Bacary Sagna available for selection but the Gunners will be without Yossi Benayaoun and John Djourou.
In the battle of Jose Mourinho’s former back-room staff, Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping to bounce back after his defeat to Man United, whereas Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to continue winning after his team’s victory last weekend over QPR.
Chelsea will be without Daniel Sturridge due to a knee injury but will have their reliable Czech keeper Petr Cech available after an injury scare against Fulham.
Manchester United will be looking to continue their best ever Premier League start by beating Stoke on Saturday. United’s hopes will be boosted by the availability of English defender Rio Ferdinand and Mexican striker Javier Hernanadez .
Manchester United will take confidence going into the game on Saturday in knowing they have never lost a point to Stoke.
Elsewhere, Liverpool play against Wolverhampton, while Newcastle face Blackburn, West Brom take on Fulham and Wigan play Tottenham. QPR will kick-off on Sunday against Aston Villa at Loftus Road.
