Women’s Organisation Chosen to Launch Business Mentoring Scheme

35 members of The Women’s Organisation in Liverpool will share their experiences of business with women entrepreneurs across the country.
Female enterprise agency The Women’s Organisation has been chosen by the European Commission to lead a UK-wide mentoring scheme on Monday.
The company based in Liverpool have been chosen to share their experiences and encourage women entrepreneurs to grow and develop their businesses.
The Women’s Organisation provides business training and business advice to help women who live in Liverpool and Manchester.
Established in 1996, The Women’s Organisation (formally Train2000) has helped thousands of women kick-start their careers and businesses across the North West.
They offer free business training courses and workshops for women in business planning and bookkeeping skills as well as courses to develop their business skills to make their business plans a success.
By providing these services, this will help women to gain confidence, explore their business ideas as well as developing their management skills in order start and grow their own business.
Since being chosen, The Women’s Organisation has been working with the National Council for Enterprise in Education and the Federation of Small businesses before the mentoring scheme starts.
The initiative is also being supported by Liverpool council.
35 members of the organisation will be asked to share their experiences with 80 women entrepreneurs from across the country who are seeking inspiration, guidance and support to develop their own businesses and ideas.
The Women’s Organisation’s chief executive, Maggie O’Carroll, told the Liverpool Daily Post: “We are really excited about this opportunity and are delighted that our expertise in the field of women’s enterprise has been recognised by the European Commission.”
The mentoring project hopes to be launched later this month.
