Oprah Heads Forbes’ List of ‘Entertainment’s Highest-Earning Women’

Oprah Winfrey is the highest earning woman in entertainment, according to a new list released by Forbes Magazine on Wednesday.

Media personality Oprah Winfrey has been named the highest earning woman in entertainment in a list released by Forbes Magazine on Wednesday.

Featuring top names such as Lady Gaga and Beyonce, the Forbes list crowned the former queen of The Oprah Winfrey Show after she earned $290,000 between May 2010 and May 2011.

According to Forbes, Ms Winfrey’s total earnings are around $2.7 billion.

Lady Gaga is in second place with $90,000 million in earnings.

Moreover, she topped Forbes’ 2011 Celebrity 100 list which measured both money and fame.

American reality TV star, entrepreneur and natural food chef Bethenny Frankel made it to third place with $55 million in earnings.

Model Gisele Bundchen and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres feature in the list with $45 million each, with Ms DeGeneres boosting her sales with a pet food company called Halo and her newly launched record label Eleveneleven.

Writer Danielle Steel was also included in the Forbes’ list with earnings of $35 million. Ms Steel has released three novels in 2011 alone.
